Hawthorns Park is a family-run, award-winning static caravan site on the edge of the Lake District, Cumbria and Lancashire. Over the past 25 years, the park has been carefully managed and developed by Deryck, Monika, and son Ashley, who have always aimed to make this the best holiday home location available.
We take great pride in the calming environment we provide for our guests, and focus on creating a welcoming ambience. In 2015 we were awarded the coveted Five Star Gold Award from VisitEngland.

Hawthorns Caravan Park is one of only 22 holiday parks nationwide to be awarded the industry topping Gold Five Star Award.
VisitEngland’s unique Gold and Silver awards are given in recognition of exceptional quality within a property’s star rating, or for outperforming a star rating.
David Bellamy Award
We are thrilled to have been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award for the wildlife that we encourage as part of our caravan site in Lancashire.
David Bellamy Conservation Awards are awarded each year to holiday parks that can demonstrate policies showing active concern for the environment.
Assisted by local nature groups and holidaymakers themselves, David Bellamy looks at virtually every aspect of park management – from the protection of plant and animal habitats to the efficient use of energy and recycling. Helping visitors to understand conservation is also considered an important qualifying feature. Three levels of excellence can be achieved Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Bellamy Bee Award
We are very proud indeed to be an official ‘Honey Bee Friendly Park’.
Bees are a vital part of the British countryside, not only are they beautiful and fascinating creatures, they are one of the most important pollinators of crops and other plants. Our holiday park in the Lake District is proud to be working with The David Bellamy Conservation Award Scheme and the British Beekeepers Association working to conserve Britain’s bees.
