Leighton Hall Classic and Performance Motor Show
3rd July 2022 – 10:00am – 4:00pm
Fans of vintage and classic cars will love the display at Leighton Hall in July. The Classic and Performance Motor Show, now in its 23rd year, also features commentary and the chance to have a browse for spare parts and collectables at the auto jumble. It makes for a great day out with promise of over 500 classic cars & motorcycles on display – ensuring a variety of vehicles for all to see.

Festival Bowland
Festival of Bowland is a fantastic year round calendar of events including art exhibitions, heritage walking tours and lectures. Catch The Wind Kite Festival
9th July to 10th July 2022
The annual kite festival, run More Music, returns to Morecambe Promenade this summer. A free family-friendly festival features some spectacular kite displays, a free programme of entertainment and live music, and environmentally-themed arts and crafts workshops.

Calling Planet Earth Lancaster Priory
25th June to 17th July 2022
A brand new festival will spend three weeks at Lancaster Priory this summer. Luke Jerram’s Gaia global attraction is a spectacular artwork showing how the world looks from the moon. Watch the installation revolve from the rafters of the Lancaster’s oldest church, accompanied by the sounds of a specially made composition by BAFTA award-winning composer, Dan Jones.

Garstang Scarecrow Festival
1st July to 3rd July 2022
Follow the scarecrow trail around the charming market town of Garstang, with prizes to be won, live music, food stalls as well as a funfair. The trail provides a great excuse to browse the range of unique independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Dorothy: Writer, Sister, Friend – Grasmere
This is the story of Dorothy Wordsworth, told in her own words from original manuscripts and in recognition of her 250th birthday. Her brother William Wordsworth is often associated with The Lake District, but this is the story of his sister, who also live an extraordinary life and was the author of the Grasmere journal.

Cartmel Show
3rd August 2022
Cartmel show returns after a 2 year break with a very special show celebrating 150 years of Cartmel Agricultural Society. The Shetland Pony Grand National takes place along with the usual line up of cattle, sheep, light and heavy horse classes, local food hall and food theatre, horticultural and village industries marquees and lots more to do.
Lakeland Country Fair – Coniston
21st August 2022 – 12:00-17:00
The Lakeland Country Fair takes place in beautiful countryside looking across to the Coniston fells and Coniston Old Man. As well as being a typical Cumbrian show, the Lakeland Country Fair acts as a showcase for traditional Cumbrian skills and activities. There will be sheep and fell pony on display and demonstrations of hand-clipping will take place during the afternoon.
All the regular features of the show are back including a Terrier Show followed by Terrier Racing, a Lurcher and Whippet Show, a family Dog Show, Wrestling, Horn blowing, egg throwing, a Childrens’ Sports Challenge, a Stick Show, and a Foxhound Show, There will be Fell Races for adults and juniors.

A celebration of model railways with 8 layouts, and stalls on the Carnforth Station platform. The event takes place form 10.00 – 16.00 both 20th August and 21st August 2022.
Keswick Show
29th August 2022
Keswick Show boasts an impressive history dating back to its first event in 1860. The event provides a full day’s entertainment for all the family and attracts up to 10,000 spectators to its setting near Braithwaite, which is overlooked on all sides by glorious fells.
Vintage by The Sea Festival, Morecambe
3rd September to 4th September 2022
The award-winning Vintage by the Sea Festival returns to Morecambe in September 2022 with a celebration of 20th-century design, fashion, vehicles and entertainment. A chance to dress up for a day, and enjoy music, fashion, film, art, design and dance from the 1920s to the 1980s, with the emphasis throughout on glamour and head-turning style.
