Hawkshead Brewery is based in the South East of the Lake District National Park and brews a wide selection of distinctive craft beers. Originally started in a barn near the village of Hawskhead in 2002, the popular Lake District brewery is now located at Mill Yard in Staveley. Hawkshead produce a range of session beers, pale ales, IPAs, lagers and stout – perhaps the most well-known offering is the award-winning tipple Windermere Pale.
Hawkshead Brewery’s Tap at Staveley is open every day and they’re also well-known in the area for their guided tours and beer festivals – where you can enjoy the well-crafted beers on tap where they were made. The Beer Hall also serves bar snacks, main meals, desserts and a kids menu, making sure all the family are catered for.

Hawkshead Brewery Tours
Visitors to the brewery are offered the chance to experience a guided tour every day from 1pm with the ability to enjoy a bite to eat in The Beer Hall before or after the tour. The tour costs £10 per person including either a pint or two halves at the end of the tour. The tour includes a short film and lasts around 45 minutes.

Beer Festivals
Since 2007 Hawkshead have been hosting a lively beer festival twice a year, the first is normally held in late March and the second in late July. All the family are welcome (including dogs) – to enjoy the music, food and award-winnings beers. Best of all, entry is absolutely free!
Live Music
The brewery is the home of live music on most weekends – see the what’s on guide for the latest bands to be featured at the venue.
