We’re delighted to share the news that Hawthorns Park has once again been awarded 5-Stars from VisitEngland and the coveted Gold Award for 2022-23.
The awards are testament to all the hard work and dedication from the team here at Hawthorns Park. Thanks also to our holiday home owners for keeping their plots clean and tidy and tending to their fantastic floral displays this summer.
Having first achieved the VisitEngland Gold Award in 2015, we are very proud to be recognised again as a top South Lake District holiday park. The award is the highest accolade in the industry and there are only a select number of parks nationwide that have achieved it.
About VisitEngland Gold Award
The VisitEngland Gold Award certifies exceptional quality of accommodation and level customer service that outperforms a star rating. The awards exist to help guests find extra special places where the accommodation hosts or business owners go the extra mile.
VisitEngland annual assessments make recommendations for Gold and Silver Awards based on a number of ratings. Looking at quality in all areas, these include housekeeping, service and hospitality. Businesses must maintain the necessary scores for a Gold or Silver Award each year.

We are especially pleased to have achieved the award again in 2022-23 as work is nearing completion on the launch of our brand new Bowland View development which extends our park.
Bowland View development takes everything that Hawthorns Caravan Park is acclaimed for and goes even further. It boasts fantastic views of the Forest of Bowland with the majority of plots benefiting from sunshine all day.
