A new survey on the most romantic holiday destinations in the UK has named the Lake District as the number one spot for couples.
Released just ahead of Valentine’s Day, the poll by Premier Inn collected the views of 2,000 people in Britain. The Lake District came up top of the list, with Windermere in particular, taking the crowning glory. The findings make it the romantic holiday location of choice among the majority of couples in the UK. Grasmere, also in the Lake District made the top 5 in the list of romantic destinations in the country.
