May was a month of triumphs and beginnings here at Hawthorns Caravan Park, with beautiful sunshine looking down on it all.
We’ve reopened our putting green for a new competition through the summer months, and we’ve seen the best of the park in the sun. Join us as we look back over the month.
The Putting Green Is Open
Our putting green is as well maintained and cared for as always and not only is it open for use but a putting competition is in place for our guests.
You can collect an entry form from the office and the winners will be announced in August at the Cheese and Wine event.
Win or lose, it’s a perfect chance to hone your technique! We’re looking forward to seeing you out there.
The Park in Sunshine
Hawthorns is in full bloom and bathed in glorious sunshine at the moment. The last of the daffodils made it into May as the other floral beds began to come alive.
We can entirely recommend taking some time to wander the paths of the park and soak in the atmosphere at present. And, of course, the beauty doesn’t end here but extends out throughout the Lakes – so if you’re tempted to head out for the day and see the sights, don’t hold back!
For more of the park in other seasons, we’ve updated our Gallery recently so please do browse the pictures. We strive to create somewhere beautiful at all times of year.
Award Winning Dedication

We were recognised by VisitEngland with their coveted gold five-star award, one of only twenty two locations across the country to have earned it.
David Morris, MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale, stopped by last month to present us with the certificate and as you can see he was delighted by what he saw.
Why not take the opportunity of this beautiful sunshine and visit us again?
