We’re expanding! We are excited to announce that we have had planning permission granted for an extension of caravan plots at Hawthorns Park. We have high aspirations for this new space, which offers elevated views of The Forest of Bowland and will feature premium, state-of-the-art brand new holiday homes.
The new development is called Bowland View in reference to its far reaching countryside views and we’ll be sharing the journey with you on our blog. Here is the first instalment…
Late 2019 – Planning Permission is granted
We were delighted to receive the news in December 2019 that our application for the extension of our caravan park was granted. The story of Bowland View officially begins!
Spring 2020 – Landscaping work begins
In early 2020 the initial plant management began. This included exposing limestone pavement, hedging layering, ecology review, drainage review as well as native tree planting.
Summer 2020 – Renewed the Morecambe Bay lookout
In summer 2020 work was carried out to renew the Morecambe lookout point which offers stunning over Morecambe Bay. We also continued with the planting on the north east boundary of Bowland View during the autumn.
Spring 2021 – Enhanced park electric supply
In the early part of this year we enhanced the park electric supply to cope with additional plots and provide the ability to have EV charging points. This is part of our ongoing commitment for our park to be as eco friendly as possible.
Summer 2021 – Plot layout and creation
In the summer of 2021 things really began to take shape as we carried out a landscaping and height review. This was followed by the design and creation of the plot layout. We connected up the electricity services and a new low pressure gas supply.
