2021 has been a busy year at Hawthorns Caravan Park. January brought snow in Lancashire and created a winter wonderland around our park. The first part of the year was spent in lockdown before we reopened on April 12th. We used the time effectively to prepare the grounds for the season as well as pushing forward with our brand new Bowland View development.
The extension we’re working on is a premium new area takes everything that Hawthorn Caravan Park is acclaimed for and goes even further. It will boast fantastic views of the Forest of Bowland with the majority of plots benefiting from sunshine all day.
One of the benefits of owning a holiday home at Hawthorns is the secluded location providing plenty of peace and tranquillity. We’ve put together some of our park pictures from 2021 to look back at the changing seasons and show the wildlife and naturally landscaped grounds we take great in pride in maintaining.
Spring
After the January snow cleared we captured some of the snowdrops popping up on chilly days. It was a busy time at the park, we took a new arrival on The Glade. We also shared amazing drone overhead shots of the park. Still in lockdown but with spring on the way our daffodils made an appearance as we looked optimistically to the reopening on the 12th April.

Summer
Summer is the perfect time to take a walk around the park and appreciate the many trees and flowers on display. As well as the glorious sunshine we snapped pictures of Guineafowl, bees and mallard ducks enjoying the warm weather. It was full steam ahead with work on Bowland View as we continued to landscape the new plots and prepare the new part of the site.

Autumn
The feeling of autumn around the park is always a lovely time of the year. With a golden palette of rich colours everywhere you look it’s a relaxing time to soak up the views and get back to nature.

Winter
Crisp winter days were soon upon us as the temperatures dropped in October. Our winter foliage and berries are an attractive feature of this time of year. By the end of November, Storm Arwen brought high winds and a layer of snow. A fitting way to finish our retrospective of images from 2021, with a wonderfully festive look to the park.

As we reach the end of the year it gives us a chance to take stock for a while as well as look ahead to 2022. We are especially looking forward to welcoming new holiday home owners to our new extended area of the park and providing happy holidays at Hawthorns in the future.
We’d like to take the opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and good health in 2022!
