Why Choose Hawthorns Park?
text underline
- Hawthorns Park is exclusively for static caravan owners. There are no residential owners with all our customers having a main residence off the park. This accompanied with no subletting / hire, tourers or tents creates a unique, peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
- Take a walk through the bluebell wood adjoining the park. See the best views of the Lake District at the Eagles Nest Viewpoint, you may discover purple orchids growing amongst the bluebells, or even spot badger or roe deer roaming in the early evening. After passing limestone pavements take a break, have a coffee in the Eagles Head in Over Kellet, or check out the local antiques shop. Stroll back through the woods passing the rear of Hawthorns Park and take in the views of the Lake District, Morecambe Bay or look East towards the 3 peaks in the Yorkshire Dales.
- For a short walk, why not enjoy the Park's natural beauty of limestone outcrops and flora, or take a round on the 9 hole putting greens.
- Another possibility is to take a walk into Nether Kellet, stop on the footpath to view the lime burning kiln and enjoy the best pint in Lancashire at our village Limeburner's pub while sitting around the open fires.
- Enjoy Hawthorns three seasons; Spring - over 10000 daffodils (and still planting); Late Spring - wildflowers, orchids, bluebells, wild garlic, cowslips and primroses; Summer - rare and magnificent trees and flowering shrubs.
- Receive Hawthorns Park's very own "What's on?" and "Where to eat?" and several park newsletters throughout the season.
- The library stocks many of the latest novels together with popular magazines (Lancashire Life, Cumbria Life, National Geographic) and the Nether Kellet bi-monthly "Round and about" with all the news of the village.
