Hawthorns Caravan Park has received a 5 Star rating from the English Tourism Council every year since 1990 and also won the Most Improved Park in England Award and Best Park in Lancashire. For the last 9 years it has been awarded a Gold "David Bellamy Conservation Award".

Hawthorns Park is also a member of the BH & HPA (British Holiday and Home Parks Association). The park is open from March to January each year.

Family Owned and Managed

We - Deryck, Monika and son Ashley - have owned and managed the park for over 20 years and we constantly strive to provide a friendly and personal service. We understand it's the little things that matter and the park is our home too. We know when the grass needs mowing and flower beds rejuvenating.

Working with nature and the environment brings peace and tranquillity to this unique setting. Our priority is to conserve the special atmosphere at Hawthorns for the enjoyment of all.

Exclusively for Owners

At Hawthorns, we know your holiday home is your sanctuary. That's why the park is exclusively for the use of our owners, all of whom have their main residence off the park. Friends and family are welcome as your guests, but there is no sub-letting. This helps maintain Hawthorns' truly unique and tranquil atmosphere, ideal when you just want to get away from it all.

FIVE Seasons at Hawthorns

Spring - the Park springs into life with snowdrops and over 10,000 daffodils (and still planting);
Late Spring - enjoy the stunning colours of wildflowers, purple orchids, bluebells, cowslips and primroses;
Summer - take a stroll amongst the rare and magnificent trees and flowering shrubs attracting butterflies;
Autumn - admire the golden display of autumn leaves, bright red berries and orchard fruit;
Winter - relax at Christmas and New Year and spend time identifying the animal tracks in the snow.

Enjoy the surroundings

Take a walk through the bluebell wood adjoining the park, passing impressive limestone pavements. See superb views of the Lake District, Morecambe Bay and the Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks. Discover purple orchids growing amongst the bluebells and even spot badger or roe deer roaming in the early evening.
